The police department ceremony came more than a month after the October 14 incident, in which two Boston Common park rangers were stabbed.
Fechtor-Pradines and a group of other individuals witnesses the stabbing, and immediately rushed to the rangers' sides, holding pressure on their wounds until emergency personnel arrived.
On Monday, Fechtor-Pradines earned a Commendation of Bravery from the Boston Police Department. After the ceremony, the two park rangers- both on their way to a full recovery- thanked Fechtor-Pradines and the other good Samaritans.
"We're very appreciative of all the individuals who helped us," one ranger told the Boston Globe.
Fechtor-Pradines, however, maintains that he was simply doing his duty as a human being, telling the Boston Globe that, "We're all brothers and sisters."
Congratulations to Teal on his incredible act of bravery!
