I started my teaching career over 20 years ago and have taught in a number of Independent Day and Boarding schools in the UK, an International School in Athens, Greece and now in Boston. I have always had a passion for learning, in particular the natural sciences and this lead me to study Biochemistry at the University of Oxford. I became a teacher because I wanted to inspire young people to have that same desire to know what we know and why. I am fortunate that teaching both Chemistry and Theory of Knowledge allows me to combine these two strands. I have also found that in teaching I am continuing to learn myself through the questions the students pose and the ever evolving ways in which we can share and communicate knowledge. I am married with three children so I have limited time to pursue individual hobbies but I do enjoy running, walking my dog, baking sweet treats and reading.
