On Thursday 16th September, the Year 5 and 6 pupils came together in the playground, to take part in this year’s House Captain elections.
The House Captain and Deputy House Captain are positions of responsibility within the school community and the Year 6 teachers spent time discussing with the pupils important qualities that they were looking for in the successful candidates.
The pupils were then asked to write a letter of application to their class teacher, who were delighted to see so many candidates apply.
On Thursday afternoon, the Year 5 and 6 pupils came together in their houses (Fire, Earth, Wind and Water) to listen to the speeches of the hopeful candidates. Every pupil had to vote for two people who they think would best represent their house this year. The results were announced in the Year 6 assembly on Friday afternoon and celebrations were all around.
We would like to wish our House Captains and Deputy House Captains the best of luck in their exciting role this year.
