After a group project and a difficult selection process, each house put forward their best team to share their ideas with the year group and a panel of esteemed judges. This year, we heard on the subjects of:
Saving Dying Languages, Reasons to Lie, The Habits of Crows and Reducing the Legal Driving Age to 15, as well as a bonus speech looking at why Money Can't Buy Us Happiness.
It is always hard to choose winners in such competitions, but anyone who takes the risk to stand in front of an audience and speak has overcome one of the most stressful challenges we face: public speaking.
