Ms. Burmahl

Hannah Burmahl is from Geneseo, a small town in Illinois near the Mississippi River. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music from Luther College, where she discovered her passion for primary education. In Spring 2025, she obtained her PGCE from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh. Currently, she is completing a Master of Arts in Special and Inclusive Education from the University of Nottingham. She firmly stands by creating an inclusive learning environment for all children. Outside of school, Hannah enjoys singing (she is a trained opera singer), coaching high school speech and debate students, reading, and playing video games. She joined the finance team at BISC-LP in 2022. Here, she works closely with the school’s many vendors to establish meaningful relationships that improve the school, community, and students’ daily experiences.
