Ms. Ennis

Carlie was born and grew up in a city called Newport in South Wales and was inspired to be a teacher by her own experiences in school, in particular from one Year 6 teacher. Originally wanted to be a Physical Education teacher, Carlie completed a BA Sport and Physical Education degree. After some experience of supporting in a primary school, Carlie decided to change paths and went on to complete her teacher degrees in Primary teaching. After completing her Primary teaching degree, she taught across EYFS and Foundation Phase in two very diverse schools; both schools giving her a range of skills and strategies to use within her teaching career. Carlie joined BISC-LP in 2018 and has worked in all Phases of the school. Through a curriculum designed to inspire and engage, she is dedicated to fostering an environment where every student can thrive - academically and personally. Carlie wants children to feel empowered to try new things and take risks; not being afraid of making mistakes. Outside the classroom, Carlie enjoys working out, playing sports, being by the lake, and spending as much time as possible with her son.
