Ms. Fekir

Kassie Fekir is originally from southern France, she moved to the U.S. 14 years ago as an exchange student, an experience that inspired her to share vibrant cultural connections with young learners. She saw a world of culture beyond the classroom and felt compelled to bring it to her students. With over ten years of experience teaching French from preschool to university, and degrees in English, French and TESOL from Cañada College and Moody Institute, she now brings French to life for students at BISCLP. Using songs, stories, and puppets, she helps kids build confidence and a love for learning, encouraging global learners to explore language and culture in fun, meaningful ways. Kassie Fekir loves Chicago’s lively culture, often visiting French bakeries with her husband and toddler. As area director for an exchange student program, she mentors students, giving back to the community that welcomed her. Kassie Fekir feels right at home both in Chicago and in the BISCLP community, inspiring young learners with her passion for languages!
