Kate comes from a family of teachers, and it was always her dream to follow in their footsteps. She began her teaching career in England before moving to Chicago to teach internationally. During her time in Chicago, she has had the opportunity to teach at both the Lincoln Park and South Loop campuses and has taken on a variety of leadership roles along the way. As part of her role as Assistant Head at the South Loop campus, she led Student Experience initiatives and is passionate about ensuring that every child feels happy, supported, and inspired. She has also enjoyed leading both Student Council and House Captains, empowering children and giving them opportunities to use their voices to make a positive difference within the school community. She loves watching students develop leadership skills, confidence, and a sense of responsibility while encouraging them to collaborate with others and take initiative in creating meaningful change. Students will no doubt hear her mention “Reach for the Stars” throughout the school year, as she firmly believes in helping every child step out of their comfort zone, dream big, and believe in what they can achieve. She has been dancing since early childhood and continues to enjoy sharing this passion with children. Over the past few years, she has loved teaching an Early Years Tap Club and inspiring young learners through dance. She is excited to become part of the Lincoln Park community and looks forward to beginning an exciting journey together in the Wallabies Class.
