Ms. Kick

A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Jessica Kick began her formal training in dance at an early age. She graduated with a B.F.A. in Dance from UMKC and was accepted into the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive program. Upon graduating in 2006, Jessica moved to Chicago to pursue a professional career, dancing with companies such as the Joel Hall Dance Company, The Modern Marvels and many independent choreographers. In 2012, Jessica was accepted into Teach for America and taught Pre-K in CPS from 2012–2017. She earned an M.S. in Early Childhood Education from Dominican University and an ESL Endorsement from Roosevelt University to effectively support her diverse language learners. Jessica is a proud mother to Liam and Eloise, who attend BISC-LP. She continues her professional artistic pursuits, most recently by producing her first full-length professional dance show in 2022. She is thrilled to be the EYFS Movement Teacher at BISC-LP!
