Ms. Knight

Originally from North London, Sophia studied at the University of Southampton, where she began her career in primary education. While teaching Key Stage 1 in the UK, she also undertook middle leadership responsibilities, before moving to Singapore to further her teaching and leadership experience in Key Stage 2. Over the years, she has developed her expertise in guiding colleagues and driving curriculum innovation. Since joining BISC-LP in 2022, Sophia has served as Primary Curriculum Director, with a focus on pedagogy, conceptual understanding, and curriculum design. She is also pursuing an MA in Education at the University of Bath, reflecting her commitment to ongoing professional growth and reflective practice. Sophia’s teaching philosophy emphasizes open-mindedness, curiosity, and confidence-building. Beyond the classroom, she enjoys exploring nature, particularly hiking and visiting national parks. She strives to inspire her students with the same curiosity and sense of wonder that she values in her own life.
