After studying Political Science at Lancaster University, Tom began his career in Parliamentary Affairs for a London charity before transitioning to education through the Graduate Teacher Programme at Bishop Grosseteste University. He’s currently pursuing a master’s degree in International Education. Tom's teaching journey began in a Year 4 class in Lincoln. After teaching in England for several years, he moved internationally, teaching in Mexico City, Prague, and North Carolina. Most recently, he was Head of Key Stage 2 at a British international school in Cascais, Portugal. In the classroom, Tom enjoys integrating music—often playing guitar and starting each Friday with a rendition of Friday, I’m in Love. He’s also passionate about using technology in education and won a Google Award for “Technology and Innovation in the Classroom.” Outside of work, he loves sports, attending concerts, and traveling (he’s visited over 50 countries).
