Ms. Newman

Amy Newman is from the beautiful city of Salisbury, England. She attended the University of Plymouth, Rolle College in Devon where she undertook her teaching degree and gained a B.E.d in Primary Education. During her four-year degree she got the opportunity to do a teaching placement in Fredonia, New York. This certainly sparked her love of the USA. After she graduated with qualified teacher status, she moved to East London to teach in the Borough of Newham. She loved getting to work with such a diverse community of people, learning about different cultures, languages and traditions over the three years she was there. She joined BISCLP in 2012 and is so happy to call this wonderful city of Chicago home. She loves exploring the different neighborhoods and trying the different cultures of food around the city! She has also been incredibly lucky to travel around many parts of the USA and loves visiting everything from the mountains in Colorado to the beaches in California!
