Ms. Parker

Amy grew up in a small seaside town in the North-East of England. After completing her Primary teaching degree in 2014, Amy worked in England for 6 years, teaching across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. In 2018, she studied to become the Special Educational Needs Coordinator at her school, which allowed her to support a range of learning needs in her school. In 2020, Amy moved to Vietnam where she worked at the British Vietnamese International School, Hanoi. She became Early Years Lead and guided her team as they opened a Pre-Nursery classroom and implemented strategies to support language learning for bi-lingual students. Amy was very fortunate to travel around many countries in Southeast Asia and experience different cultures and traditions firsthand. Amy joined BISC-LP in 2023 as the Pre-Nursery Curriculum Director. She loves living in Chicago and is committed to creating a safe and naturing environment for children to grow and build their confidence through a play-based curriculum.
