Ms. Pearson

Faye grew up in Coventry, England, and studied at the University of Warwick, where she earned her degree in Primary Education. Before moving to the United States, she taught in England and gained experience working across the primary age range. She has now been teaching for nine years, spending the first five years in the UK and the last four years in Raleigh, North Carolina. As a teacher, she strives to create a classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and excited to learn. She believes strong relationships are at the heart of student success and works to foster a culture of collaboration, curiosity, perseverance, and kindness. Her goal is to help students grow in confidence, develop a love of learning, and reach their full potential both academically and personally. Moving abroad to teach had always been a dream of hers, as she strongly believes that helping children understand the world around them encourages them to become thoughtful and compassionate global citizens. She has thoroughly enjoyed her teaching experience in the United States and is excited to continue her international teaching journey at the British International School of Chicago, Lincoln Park. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys hiking and exploring new places with her husband, Michael, and their dogs, Lyla and York. She loves travelling, discovering new cities, and is especially excited to explore Chicago and everything the city has to offer.
