Ms.Williamson

Carla was born and grew up in a small town in Lincolnshire, U.K. and was inspired to become a teacher by her own primary school experiences. After completing her Primary teaching degree, she taught across Key Stage 1 and 2 at a highly successful primary school on just outside of Liverpool. Carla joined BISC-LP in 2012 and has worked in variety of teaching and leadership roles in Phase 1. She believes in providing a setting where all children can thrive, both academically and personally. In her classroom, she encourages curiosity, problem solving, and open mindedness. She wants children to feel confident in who they are while feeling inspired and empowered to try new things and not be afraid of making mistakes. In her spare time, Carla enjoys trying new restaurants, working out, and spending time on Chicago’s lakefront. She also enjoys broadening her own experience by traveling to new places.
