At BISC - South Loop, we highly regard our students' achievements and pride ourselves on providing a supportive and structured atmosphere. We are very well resourced and enjoy excellent teacher-to-student ratios. Because successful education relies on a partnership between the school, children, and parents, we value and encourage your involvement in order to develop strong home-school links. We also strongly encourage enrichment outside of the classroom to develop the whole learner and, as a result, offer a wide variety of art, music, and sporting activities.
Our website only offers a glimpse of our school. We would be delighted if you came to visit our South Loop Campus to see us at work and play.
At British International School of Chicago, South Loop, we welcome parents and students to get involved in our thriving school community and offer several opportunities for involvement.
Parent Committees
We have many committees that parents can join including the Multicultural Committee, Social Committee, and Primary Parent Community Group. These afford parents opportunities to work alongside the school and its Leadership Team, sharing ideas and suggestions for improvements within the community.
Social Events
We host events throughout the course of the year to encourage parents from across the school to get to know one another. These include monthly Parent Coffee Mornings which take place in a local coffee shop on the first Wednesday of each month, walking tours of the South Loop neighborhood for parents after school drop-off, and events at local museums.
We also have Parent Representatives within each Year group who arrange events specifically for the families within their specific Year groups. These range from weekend playdates for the children to socials for the parents.
