High Schoolers Put Pen to Paper for Poetry Slam

What’s important?

Freshmen and Sophomores tackled this question during our annual Poetry Slam. Competing within their House, students had 40 minutes to create a poem that expressed their ideas about something significant to them. They focused on using poetic devices, like imagery and rhythm, and garnering an emotional response from peers.
