Attend Our Open House
On Saturday, February 23rd, The Village School's varsity girls basketball team competed in the TAPPS 6A Regional Championship against Antonian High School from San Antonio. The Lady Vikings won 72-60, securing a trip to the State Final Four for the first time in program history.
Saturday's win also improved the Lady Vikings record to 36-4 on the season. This team has set numerous program records, including most wins in a single season and capturing their first, and the school's first, District Championship in basketball. The Lady Vikings are the #2 ranked private school in the state of Texas and the #1 ranked private school in the city of Houston. Coach Brotherton has done a remarkable job building the program in his six years as Head Coach and has his team focused and playing for each other.
The Vikings will travel to Waco this week to compete in the TAPPS 6A State Semifinal on Friday, March 1st against Incarnate Word from San Antonio. The winner will have a chance to compete for the TAPPS 6A State Championship on Saturday, awaiting the winner of Dallas Bishop Lynch and Plano Prestonwood.
