Virtual High School Debate Team

Despite the challenges presented by the pandemic, our fabulous High School debate team have had a busy start to the debate calendar. Led by two of our most accomplished debaters Nico and Julian, our team has competed in two events so far this year. In both events, the topic for discussion was Medicare and in our first event, the Schaumburg Saxon Invitational, the team of Rory and Kishan (pictured) placed third overall, with Rory also picking up the fourth-placed speaker award. More recently, the team participated in the 2020 HF Vikings Classic, and all three of our teams placed with Suhail and Jessica finishing tenth, Julian, and Nico placing fifth, and Rory and Kishan placing third once again. In the overall speaker awards, Julian took tenth place, Kishan took sixth place and Rory finished first overall.
