Well done to all of the students who recently competed in the various Mathematic competitions. In the UKMT Intermediate Math Contest (IMC), congratulations to Zeke (Year 9), Lucia (Year 9), Aditi (Year 9), Lucy (Year 10), Eli (Year 10), Rohan (Year 10) who all achieved Bronze. Congratulations to Jeffrey (Year 9), Audrey (Year 9), Claire (Y10) who achieved Silver, and congratulations to Dominic (Year 11), who achieved Gold.

Due to her high scores in the recent contests, Audrey (Year 9) has qualified for the Math Counts invitational Chicago Chapter round and UKMT Grey Kangaroo round. Dominic’s score placed him in the top 600 of all students who took the IMC and he qualified for the Maclaurin Olympiad on March 18th. As if this wasn’t enough, he also completed the American Mathematics Contest 10 and scored in the top 2.5% of all students, which means he has also qualified for the Mathematical Association of America American Invitational Mathematics Examination on March 10th. Congratulations to both Audrey and Dominic and good luck!

The Math contests are far from over for the year! Years 7, 8, and 9 participated in the IML (Illinois Math League) this week and we look forward to hearing the results. High School will be completing their 6th and final contest later this month for the IML.
