To the BISC South Loop Class of 2026,
There are moments in a school’s story that feel distinctly yours: moments shaped not just by events on a calendar, but by the energy, character, and courage of a particular group of students. The Class of 2026 has given our South Loop campus many of these moments, and with last week’s Leavers Assembly behind us and graduation day less than 48 hours away, we want to pause and say how incredibly proud we are of you.
From your earliest days at BISC South Loop to where you stand now, you have grown into a class that embodies ambition, curiosity, and resilience. We have watched you take on challenges with determination, lift one another with kindness, and make your mark across our community in ways both big and small.
We want to reiterate something brought up during the Leavers Assembly: Class of 2026, you are special for many reasons – as all graduating classes are – but one of your most defining traits, one that has resonated with staff and students alike, is how fundamentally good you are. Your hearts are enormous: you celebrate and uplift your friends, classmates, and colleaguesin ways that not all schools are lucky enough to experience.You create connections with your younger classmates, support those in need, and energetically advocate for change. We know you will carry this attitude and mindset with you throughout your lives, as you learn and grow and become the leaders our world needs.
At BISC South Loop, we speak often about preparing students for a world that is constantly changing. If there is one thing we are certain of, it is that you are ready. Ready to think critically. Ready to adapt. Ready to lead with empathy and act with integrity. Whatever path you choose next—whether it takes you across the city, the country, or the globe – you take with you a foundation that is strong, thoughtful, and uniquely yours.
For our younger students and families in the BISC South Loop community, the Class of 2026 leaves you with a powerful example. The habits you are building now – in your classrooms, in rehearsals, on the court, and in service to others—are the very same ones that grow into the leadership, achievement, and character we celebrate today. Each year, our graduates show us what is possible when curiosity is nurtured, effort is sustained, and community comes first.
Class of 2026, thank you for everything you have given to our school. We are proud of who you are, excited for who you are becoming, and honored to have been part of your journey. You will always have a place at BISC South Loop.
