Ms. Addison
Kate completed her teacher training in Edinburgh, Scotland and after teaching there for 2 years moved to London, where she started teaching IGCSE Sciences. After 5 years she made the move overseas to the Windy City, where she started my journey as a Sciences specialist at BISC-SL. Since arriving in 2018 she has taught IB Biology, introduced IB Environmental Sciences, and has become part of the TOK teaching team. She also has great enjoyment being the IB Core coordinator which has enabled her to help students organize two Summer Fairs and the subsequent trips to Tanzania, and guiding students through CAS and their Extended Essay. It is seeing the many talents and hard work of our students that has been the highlight of her time at BISC. In her spare time she love watching and playing most sports, which has led to her becoming Coach Addison for the Year 7 boys soccer team! Now a full honorary Chicagoan, she loves watching the Bulls and the Sky, and, for her sins, the mighty White Sox!
