Originally from Leeds in England. BA in English and American Literature (Warwick) with an MLitt in Literature specialising in Children's Literature (Newcastle) and PGCSE from the Institiute of Education, London. Taught in London for a decade in international teaching, first in Brazil, Italy then USA. IB Coordinator and English and TOK teacher. Third school as IB Coordinator and very much believe in the approaches to teaching learning and holistic education the IB offers. Getting students to critically engage with texts and to challenge their own perceptions in order to develop their own learning are key skills in the classroom.
