Our Pre-Nursery children are exploring food via a range of learning experiences. We talked about fruit and vegetables and encourage the children to sort them out.
We invited children to make sandwiches and add toppings to the pizza. Children also had so much fun in the fruit shop where there were a lot more interactions happening among them.
We incorporated other learning areas into this topic. For example, Counting – children look for the fruit printed on the cards and count how many they have got. Colour Learning – children spot the food on the rainbow and sort the food out by colours. Arts and Fine Motor Development – children use air-dry clays to make the food, rolling and pinching; everyone has done an amazing job by noticing the differences in the size, shape, and appearance, and adding details to their work. Good job everyone!
