Independent Schools Inspectorate report

All British international schools that want to be recognised by the UK’s Department for Education (and obtain British Overseas School status) must be inspected every three years by one of seven UK government-approved inspectorates. We were inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), which reports on many of the UK’s top independent schools.

ISI provides an assessment of the school, reporting on the following:

COBIS Patron's Accreditation

Following a robust accreditation process, BSKL was awarded the COBIS (Council of British International Schools) Patron’s Accreditation. This external validation system, emphasises school improvement and development rather than a snapshot inspection. It provides a rigorous diagnostic on core elements, focusing on learning and teaching and leadership in the school. The school and accreditors work together to support and encourage the best possible educational environment.

"The school provides exceptional, well-resourced facilities to support students’ learning across all age groups."

Other key findings of the report include:

“One of the great strengths of teaching and learning across the whole school is its consistently high quality.”

“Behaviour for learning is an outstanding feature of the school at all levels.”

“Enrichment and extra-curricular activities are part of the DNA of the school and one of its outstanding strengths.”
