Early Years end of year preparation
Early Years end of year preparation As we prepare for the end of year we look at ways of supporting your children in their transitions to a new year group by visiting the other classrooms and by meeting their new teachers. Moving to a new classroom is not an easy thing for a child and that is why we do everything we can at BVIS to make the transition as smooth as possible.

As we prepare for the end of year we look at ways of supporting your children in their transitions to a new year group by visiting the other classrooms and by meeting their new teachers. Moving to a new classroom is not an easy thing for a child and that is why we do everything we can at BVIS to make the transition as smooth as possible. Most of the children are very excited and anyone who is a little bit worried has had a chance to talk about their concerns which, the teachers have quickly helped to resolve. Over the Summer please do talk to your child about their new year group and help to make them feel confident about when we return in August.

The F3 children have really been preparing for Year 1 and have completed some special pieces of work about their favourite stories to go inside their Big Write books. These books will be kept with your child on their journey through the primary school. Each term a new piece of work will be added until they leave the Primary at the end of Year 6. All the children understood the importance of these books and tried hard to make some really good work. It is also a great way for you to observe how your child has progressed with their drawing and writing. Your child will notice the difference as they look back on pictures of their past work. They should be proud of their achievements this year and can look forward to achieving even more goals in the future. Please keep encouraging them at home as it really makes a huge difference.

Next week all the children can look forward to some end of year parties, performances, prize-giving, assemblies as well as some visits from the Year 1 teachers. Don’t forget on Friday that we finish after lunch at 12:30pm.
