Join our next Open Day
School outings at the beginning of the year are always highly appreciated by students and teachers. It is an opportunity to discover or rediscover certain places of amusement and to forge strong links with their classmates.
Grades 1 and 2, went to the Servion zoo: "Even if the sun was not shining, the look of wonder in our students’ eyes as they discovered all these animals was worth the trip. They will not forget the moment of sharing the picnic lunch, surrounded by funny little monkeys interested in our sandwiches. It is these moments of discovery and sharing that allow us to forge links" Amélia Da Silva, grade 1 teacher.
The 3rd graders went on an expedition to the adventure labyrinth in Evionnaz in search of hidden dinosaurs. They were joined by the 3rd graders from Collège Champittet’s Pully campus. It was a nice moment of exchange between the students of our two campuses.
The 4th graders went to the Tropiquarium. They visited the energy pavilion which is a playful space to make the new generation aware of environmental issues and renewable energies, as well as the zoo where the children were able to discover animals that would normally be found in tropical areas such as the Siamese crocodile, the boa Imperator and the giant Galapagos tortoise.
Finally, 5th to 7th grades’ students, played the adventurers by going to the accrobranche: "This rainy Thursday did not manage to demotivate the happy group! A short trip by bus and the adventurers were off the aerial installations of the Signal de Bougis, offering the most daring challenges that were equal to their objectives. After a picnic break to regain some energy and share their exploits, the group was ready for the last attraction of the day: some outdoor games in the sun! A great day of cohesion for the young as well as the old ones! Annie Galuchot Lefèvre, head teacher of the 6th and 7th grades.
By learning to plan their time wisely, students can be more productive, develop great study habits, and create a balanced lifestyle – one that fosters both personal and academic growth. Mastering this essential skill also sets them up for future success.
“What do you want to be when you grow up?” Here at Champittet, we know that inspiring children to dream big while envisioning their future is a core part of education. It’s also the focus of Dare All Trades Day, or JOM (Journée Oser tous les Métiers).
The Winter Ball is an eagerly awaited annual tradition here at Champittet, but this year brought a twist: the school’s first ever Masquerade Ball. With the theme “Black and Gold, don’t forget your mask!”, this year’s winter dance was organised by 14th-grade IB students, and the event was open to students in grades 9 and 10.
