At Collège Champittet, we believe that helping students reflect on their future goals and how to achieve them is key to preparing them for a successful future. Our annual Career Day is a cornerstone of this approach, enabling secondary students to learn directly from professionals in a wide range of industries.
Held on March 6th at Collège Champittet, our Career Day gave our secondary students a chance to meet professionals in business, law, medicine, engineering and many other fields. During this half-day event, our students could join different 55-minute sessions with professionals in the industries that most interest them.
This year, our Career Day featured more than 40 industry leaders and professionals, including C-suite executives, entrepreneurs and scholars. Our students were able to ask questions and gain exposure to an incredibly diverse range of careers. Aviation, architecture, fashion design, international development and finance, labour law, hospitality management, machine learning, psychology, neuroscience, life sciences and sports management were just some of the many fields represented at Career Day.
Our participating students found Career Day to be a motivating and engaging experience – in fact, many have requested that we extend the event to a full day! Some of our guest speakers are themselves Champittet alumni, providing a double dose of inspiration to our learners. For our secondary students, Career Day is a unique opportunity to gain insights that can shape their own pathway forward, to university and beyond.
The feedback from our guest speakers was equally positive, with many expressing their appreciation for the warm welcome they received at Collège Champittet and the chance to share their passions with a new generation. One guest speaker and former Champittet student explained why she chose to return for Career Day: “As an alumna, I wanted to participate in an event that had really made a difference in helping me choose my own university path. I wanted to return the favour for today’s students.”
We were delighted to see such an enthusiastic turnout of both students and professionals at Career Day 2026. Many thanks to our Parent Association APEC and Collège Champittet organisers for making this event a success!
