how we teach

Our teachers embrace innovation, delivering exceptional personalised learning experiences that inspire our students to achieve outstanding academic success.

We know that teachers shape lives, which is why we only employ the most passionate, inspiring people. Our teachers drive innovation, find extraordinary ways to convey ideas, and encourage endless exploration – meaning our children love coming into school every day.

Being part of the Nord Anglia family helps us to attract amazing educators: UK qualified or equivalent teachers with a wealth of experience in British and international schools. Our small class sizes have an average student-teacher ratio of 12:1, which means each child is fully supported. And at every stage of their education, teachers monitor academic progress and keep an eye on our students' wellbeing.

At Compass, we bring personalised teaching and learning to life through the latest education technology (EdTech).

On our Global Campus learning platform, your child will connect with classmates in more than 30 countries across the globe. They’ll take part in one-off international projects and challenges, and explore specially curated content from our world-leading partners, including MIT and The Juilliard School. Our secure digital space is open to parents, too, giving you access to your child’s learning.

We continually invest in new technology to make sure our students have the best facilities and equipment. This includes state-of-the-art ICT suites, 3D printers, and the latest iPads.

Helping our teachers grow

We encourage our teachers to be ambitious and expand their knowledge, in the same way we strive to inspire our students. This guarantees that your child gets the highest quality academic education.

Our teachers learn through Nord Anglia University, our award-winning online platform. Alongside the best educators in the world, teachers study for internationally recognised qualifications – including the Master’s in International Education in partnership with King’s College London – that place them at the cutting-edge of their profession.

Setting the bar high

At Compass, we pride ourselves on our outstanding teaching standards. In 2019, we were the first school in the Middle East to be accredited for the quality of our International Primary Curriculum.

Our teachers are regularly assessed against local and national benchmarks, as well as Nord Anglia’s stringent Quality Assurance Framework. Through rigorous background screening, a strong safeguarding policy, and criminal record checks, we make sure our students are safe at school.

We’re proud to have such a committed, highly qualified, and caring group of teachers. Every day, our academic staff deliver truly innovative personalised learning experiences that nurture our students’ passions and interests.

Our exceptional teachers create supportive, inspiring learning environments where every student thrives. Want to join us? We’d love to hear from you.
