Our International Baccalaureate (IB) school learners study at our state-of-the-art, Themaid campus.

 

 

The demanding but rewarding two-year IB programme sees our students excel in traditional subject areas and enjoy exceptional enrichment opportunities. A WORLD-LEADING EDUCATION 

THE IB DIPLOMA EXPLAINED

Our International Baccalaureate students study six subject groups: Language and Literature, Language Acquisition, Individuals and Societies, Sciences, Mathematics, and Creative Arts. Three of these subject groups are taken at higher level and three at standard level.  

 

Your child will also complete the core programme – Theory of Knowledge, Extended Essay, and Creativity, Activity and Service – to achieve their full Diploma.

  • Theory of Knowledge (TOK): a course that explores critical thinking, giving students an understanding of how we learn.
  • The Extended Essay: a 4,000-word independent research project focusing on a specific subject.
  • Creativity, Activity and Service (CAS): a range of activities that develop our students’ skills and wellbeing, and support our local community.
