Football Update

Tonight the U12 and U13 football teams went to Dukan. The U12's played 7 a side and went a goal down but battled back into contention with a cool finish from Mohammed Elnahas who was 5 yards out from goal. Dukan ended the half leading by 2 goals to one.

Despite a rousing team talk from coach Tom, Dukan took their chances and some fine Saves from their keeper denied Compass from getting back on level terms. The final score of 5-1 was rather flattering but solid defensive work is needed if Compass are to get in to winning ways.

The U13's went into the game looking for their first win of the season. With 2 key players missing, the team were 2-0 down at half time giving away one sloppy goal from a goal kick.

The second half saw more commitment from the team and a wonderful free kick from 20 yards out sent Abdullrahman Seyam into rapturous celebrations. At 2-1  compass sprang into life and began to take control of the game but the equalising goal from increased possession failed to materialise. Despite the end scoreline of a 2-1 defeat the team were upbeat with their endeavours!
