What to Bring to School
Helping your child feel prepared and ready for a positive day of learning.
To help your child get the most out of their school day, we encourage students to bring only the essentials they need for their learning, activities and wellbeing.
What to bring
- School bag
- Required books and learning materials
- Reusable water bottle
- Packed lunch or snacks, if preferred
- PE kit or sports equipment when required
- School-approved devices, where applicable
- Any items specifically requested by a teacher for a lesson or activity
Mobile phones
Compass PLUS students are permitted to bring and use mobile phones in line with school expectations. For other students who bring a phone to school, it must be secured in a school-provided YONDR pouch during the school day.
What to leave at home
To keep our school a safe, welcoming and focused environment for everyone, we ask families to make sure students do not bring unnecessary, inappropriate or potentially harmful items to school. These include:
- Toys, games or other items that may distract from learning, unless requested by a teacher
- Dangerous items or anything that could cause harm
- Lighters, matches or other flammable items
- Alcohol, tobacco, vapes or related products
- Illegal substances
- Weapons or objects that could be used as weapons
- Items that are inappropriate for a school environment
- Any other items prohibited under the school’s policies
If your child forgets something they need during the school day, it can be dropped off at Reception. Our Reception team will be happy to help make sure it reaches your child.
