On Thursday 25th October a group of students learnt all about wearable technology in a talk given by Dr. Shweta Agarwala from Nanyang Technological University.
The students discovered how today we see that technology is being integrated into clothing and wearable gadgets and how this is revolutionizing the medical industry, policing and even everyday tasks. Dr. Agarwala talked to our students about the future of these technologies which include tattooed technologies and implanted technologies. It was a great opportunity for our year 9 students to help them develop their own designs ahead of Wednesday's STEAM day in which they will be designing and making their own versions of a wearable technology. But it was also a great opportunity across the ages with some year 2 students taking part as well as some year 12 ITGS students. A real school wide technological treat. A huge thank you to Dr. Agarwala for giving her time and sharing her expertise.
