Last Friday afternoon, 47 Dover Fins set off to attend a swim meet hosted by Nexus International School. This was despite the lightning storm and pouring rain!
Last Friday afternoon, 47 Dover Fins set off to attend a swim meet hosted by Nexus International School. This was despite the lightning storm and pouring rain!
The grass under our assigned gazebo at Nexus quickly turned into a mud bath as did the marshaling area because of the wet conditions underfoot. No one was deterred & muddy feet were hosed down prior to entering the pool. This all brought back fond memories for several of us about a meet two/three years ago.
There were many credible performances particularly in backstroke. Tara, Koto, Maylis, Frances, Hiraani and Erwan all medalled. Molli achieved a silver and bronze in her freestyle & butterfly events whilst Arjun received a gold and silver.
Sadly due to poor light, the final relay events did not happen. Nobody particularly minded. We all had a great time in the pool, in the rain, and in the mud!.
