The Managing Exam Stress workshop was held on Thursday 13 December to discuss the reactions we may see in our students around exam time and look at some strategies to support parents in what can be a challenging time for the family
Themes discussed include Identifying the signs of stress (physical, emotional and cognitive), looking at the way the brain responds to stress, providing some parent support strategies and looking at foods that reduce the impact of stress. Helpful tips with organisation and support mechanisms were presented to hopefully assist rather than control the student who is preparing for exams.
The Power Point presentation can be found in the link here , on the Parent Portal or you may contact Ian Moody (DCIS Counsellor) for more information. The session will be repeated in Term 2 for those unable to come to this session.
