Dover Court Students Achieve Exceptional BTEC Results for 2025

Congratulations to all Dover Court International School BTEC students on their exceptional results this year! The 2025 BTEC outcomes highlight the dedication, hard work, and resilience of our students, reflecting our unique, inclusive community that fosters academic excellence through personalised learning.

The International BTEC (Business and Technology Education Council) Diploma in Business provides a valuable vocational learning opportunity, enhancing students' understanding of business while preparing them for the world of work or further education. We are proud to announce a 100% pass rate across all BTEC programmes this year. Level 1 BTEC Business students achieved an impressive 67% Distinction and Merit grades, while Level 2 and Level 3 students secured a 40% Merit rate. Our Level 2 Award in IT also recorded a 100% pass rate.

Principal Christopher Short expressed his pride in the results, stating, “I am so proud of the BTEC results this year. They are the culmination of some fantastic work by our students, supported by our dedicated and talented teachers. BTEC is a valuable course that prepares students so well for the next stage of their education and their subsequent transfer into the working world. I look forward to hearing how our students have used their brilliant BTEC results in the next steps of their journey.”

These achievements highlight the strengths of our inclusive community at Dover Court, where individualised strategies are thoughtfully designed to empower every student to reach their personal best.

At DCIS, we offer the BTEC programme as part of our commitment to providing diverse routes for academic success. Our aim is to equip students with practical skills, industry-relevant knowledge, and the confidence to excel in both academic and professional settings. BTEC qualifications are vocational courses that focus on practical, hands-on learning in fields such as business, IT, health and social care, and engineering.

Unlike traditional academic qualifications like GCSEs or A-Levels, BTECs are assessed through coursework, including assignments, projects, and practical tasks, rather than final exams. Students typically begin BTEC courses at Level 1 or 2 around ages 14- 16 (Key Stage 4), and progress to Level 3 around ages 16 - 18 (Sixth Form or post-16 education). We offer BTEC as part of our Secondary and post-16 curriculum, providing an alternative route for students who thrive in applied learning environments.

In Singapore, Dover Court International School combines world-class teaching with a personalised approach, fostering a welcoming environment that celebrates each student’s strengths and interests. We are incredibly proud of our students' commitment and the exceptional outcomes they have achieved.
