Recently, 24 of our Years 5 and 6 students travelled to Cambodia to take part in the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) Southeast Asia (SEA) Games – and what an incredible experience it was! From start to finish, our students showed determination, teamwork, and resilience, and we couldn’t be prouder of their achievements.

Hosted by Northbridge International School in Cambodia, the NAE SEA Games is an exciting sporting event for students from Nord Anglia schools in the region to compete in athletics, teeball, basketball, and football while celebrating teamwork, resilience, and building friendships.

After weeks of training and preparation, their hard work paid off as they returned home crowned Overall NAE SEA Champions for 2025! The competition was intense, with plenty of nail-biting moments, especially the boys’ teeball final, which came down to the very last batter to decide the winner.

More Than Just Sport
What stood out even more than the medals was the way our students carried themselves throughout the trip. Hotel staff, fellow coaches, and even immigration officers commented on their politeness and positive attitude. They truly represented our school with pride and respect, living out Dover Court values of resilience, excellence, integrity, and kindness throughout the trip.
“It has been a joy to work alongside these incredible young athletes and witness their growth and development.” – Ellie Woodcock, Head of Primary PE

What Our Students Said
The NAE Games is more than just a competition. It is an opportunity to try new things and make lasting memories.
“You get to try all the sports, because in other competitions, you do the one that you’re best at, but at NAE Games, you get to do all of them. So you try, like, a lot of different sports.” – Nina, Year 6 Student
“If you get the opportunity to come to the NAE Games next year, take it because it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Everyone is kind and we get to make friends with people from different schools. It’s really great.” – Ved, Year 6 Student
Parent's Perspective
One family shared their gratitude for the DCIS Wolves Sports programme, highlighting its transformative impact:
"We’ve seen our child grow over the last couple of years from a smart, sporty, but shy young person into a more confident, sociable (and still sporty) young individual. These are the intangible benefits he has learned through the DCIS Wolves Sports programme – the teamwork, confidence, and lifelong love of playing sports – for which we’ll be grateful for many years to come." – The Lee Family
A Proud Thank You
“I cannot say how proud I am of all our students. They’ve not just performed amazingly on the pitch; they’ve performed amazingly off the pitch, as well. The number of staff from other schools that have approached me and talked about how incredible our students are is an absolute testament to all of them.” – Ellie Woodcock, Head of Primary PE
A huge thank you to all the staff, parents, siblings, and grandparents who travelled to Cambodia to support our DCIS Wolves. Your encouragement made this event even more special. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for these talented athletes and look forward to watching their sporting journeys progress.
