Hailey graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Studies before completing her Primary PGCE. She has five years of teaching experience across Early Years and Key Stage 1, teaching from Year R through to Year 2. During her teaching career, she has also held leadership responsibilities in literacy and phonics, supporting children in developing strong foundations in reading, writing, and communication.
Originally from Portugal, Hailey has spent the last three years living and teaching in the United Arab Emirates. She is now very excited to begin her first teaching role in Singapore and is looking forward to becoming part of the Dover Court community.
Hailey is passionate about creating a warm, caring, and engaging classroom environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to grow in confidence. She believes learning should be meaningful, creative, and enjoyable, helping children to develop independence, curiosity, and a love of learning from an early age.
Outside of school, Hailey loves travelling, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures. She especially enjoys trying new foods and discovering local traditions wherever she goes. She is excited to share her enthusiasm for learning and adventure with the children throughout the year.
Hailey is very much looking forward to meeting all the children and families and beginning an exciting year of learning together.
