Jason graduated from the Queens University, Belfast with BA (Hons) in Primary Education, specialising in Science and Technology.
Following his graduation, Jason has worked in Qatar, firstly in Royal Grammar School Guildford in Qatar, he worked in Key Stage One and was the science & STEAM lead for two years. After this, Jason moved to Nord Anglia International School Al Khor, where he has worked for the past three years in KS1 and KS2, as Primary Science Lead and Head of Year. Jason joined Dover Court International School last year, as a Year Three teacher.
Jason brings enthusiasm and a practical approach to his teaching, creating a hands-on and engaging learning environment. He makes lessons active and visually stimulating, helping children become confident, independent learners. With a strong interest in child-led learning, he encourages pupils to follow their interests and develop a genuine love for learning.
Jason has led several sports and clubs across all key stages including Model United Nations, football, STEAM club, and MIT challenges. He has had some success in Model United Nations, including hosting other schools in Qatar. Outside of the classroom Jason was also the Eco-Schools lead for the school for two years, pushing the school forward towards the Green Flag achievement. Jason has now also lead the House Captains in Dover Court, enjoying bringing new ideas and initiatives to life.
Throughout his teaching career, Jason has been keen on travelling and visiting new places, trying new cuisines. He enjoys staying active, through running and cycling and plans to take part in Ironman 70.3 triathlons.
