She began her teaching career in inner-city Manchester, where she taught across the primary age range before specialising in supporting children with special educational needs. During this time, Katie completed the National Award for SEN Coordination (NaSENDCo) while working as part of the SEND team in an inclusive school setting. She has held a range of roles, including Year Group Leader, Computing Lead, and SEND provision development across the school. Katie takes pride in her inclusive approach to education and is passionate about ensuring every child’s voice is heard and valued.

Since joining Dover Court, Katie has enjoyed teaching across the school, having taught in Pathway 2 and Early Intervention. She loved her first year in Pathway 3 last year. She brings with her a strong belief in creating a supportive and accessible learning environment where every child can thrive.

Beyond the classroom, Katie has led a variety of extracurricular clubs including netball, computing and debate. She has a particular interest in ensuring accessibility and inclusion in all aspects of school life. Outside of school, Katie is a keen reader and an enthusiastic amateur cook. When she’s not travelling, she enjoys discovering new places to eat and exploring hiking trails.
