Megan graduated from Sheffield Hallam University, UK with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status. She later completed the National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination at master’s level with the University of Hertfordshire.
Following her graduation, Megan worked in both ‘outstanding’ UK state schools and within the independent sector in the Essex area, teaching across the primary age range from EYFS to Lower Key Stage 2. During this time, she developed strong collaborative experience within teaching teams and took on subject leadership roles in Geography, RE, Outdoor Learning, and DT. She also supported whole-school development by leading phonics initiatives, mentoring trainee teachers, and delivering training in Read, Write Inc. across Early Years and Key Stage 1.
Megan takes great pride in creating a warm, supportive, and engaging learning environment where learning is fun, creative, and visually rich. She is passionate about helping children grow into confident, independent learners and thinkers. With a strong interest in child-initiated learning, she encourages children to explore their interests and develop curiosity. Megan also values building strong relationships with families and enjoys working closely with them to support each child’s development and wellbeing, ensuring every child feels happy, safe, and confident.
Megan has a real passion for sport and wellbeing. As an active member of a netball team, she enjoys leading a variety of sports activities across the primary age range, including cross country, fitness, boxfit, and netball. She has also completed a half marathon and taken part in charity HYROX events, inspiring children to stay active and challenge themselves.
Outside of school, Megan enjoys living an active lifestyle and can often be found at the gym, playing netball, boxing, or cycling. She loves to travel and explore new cultures, embracing opportunities to meet people from around the world. She is also a keen theatre and live music enthusiast, and her classroom often reflects this passion, with music, creativity, and moments of shared joy bringing learning to life.
