Victoria Snook graduated from Cumbria University’s London campus with a BA (Hons) in Primary Education. Victoria´s early teaching practice began in a London primary school. Following this, she has taught Years 2, 3 and 5 internationally both in Spain and Dubai.

Prior to Singapore, whilst teaching in Spain, she taught a British-based learning curriculum, where differentiation for bilingual second language learners was integral to her role. As science coordinator, it was Victoria’s responsibility to organise the annual ‘Science Week’ and fair. It was one of the liveliest, fun, and highly anticipated whole-school events, encouraging the children to develop their skills in problem-solving, collaborating, creating and thinking critically, all vital skills needed to become innovators and inventors.

Living in Spain, she was able to make positive connections, gain personal enrichment, learn a new language, and develop a deeper appreciation of Spanish culture. Most summers, she volunteered for a week’s intensive language programme which helped Spanish adults to improve their English.

The reason why Victoria became a teacher is simple:  she loves to come to work every morning knowing that she is going to be working with children! Every day is different and the compelling qualities and humour which every child provides makes each day exciting and worthwhile. Her educational ethos is focused around responding to children’s differing needs to enable all children to achieve. Victoria sees it as her job to make sure every child is happy and can flourish with confidence, using a growth-mindset teaching approach. Outside of school Victoria really enjoys any activity that involves being outdoors and although she is not competitive has always loved sport.  You may see her riding her bicycle, playing tennis or paddle surfing.
