After completing my degree in English Studies at the University of Strathclyde, I taught English as a second language in Gdansk, Poland for a year. I returned to the UK to complete a PGCE at the University of Manchester and then I worked in a grammar school in the UK for 5 years before moving to the Channel Islands, where I was Head of English in an independent girls’ school for 10 years. In 2012 we decided to enter the international scene and I moved with my family to China take up the position of SENCO at Nord Anglia’s British International School Shanghai, Puxi. Having thoroughly enjoyed the 2 years spent in Shanghai, I am now delighted I could return to Europe for the exciting role of Head of A1 Languages at BISB.
I enjoy spending time travelling with my family. I have a daughter who is studying at University in London. I like being outdoors and I enjoy hiking and skiing. I’m also a keen theatre-goer and I’m looking forward to seeing the ballets and operas Bratislava has to offer.
