Caricaturist Mix & Remix speak to our students

Following the tragic events of Charlie Hebdo, many questions were raised about freedom of speech limits. In order to have an expert’s opinion of the situation, Mr Zumbrunnen invited the caricaturist, Mix & Remix, to discuss the events, their repercussions on the everyday life of a caricaturist, and to debate freedom of speech.
  • La visite de Mix & Remix

Students from grade 12 to 14 attended the debate which took place on 18th of February. The main participants were the artist Mix & Remix, Mr Zumbrunnen, Father Charles and the philosophy teacher, Mr Bobillier.

The fact that the talk took place one month after the events enabled teachers as well as students to step back and reflect on the values that have been attacked and to analyse the situation based on the different cultures represented among the participants. This led to interesting discussions between the artist, teachers and students.
