Olympic adventure in Barcelona

In September, 10th grade students took a school trip to Barcelona.

  • L'escale olympique à Barcelone

It was an opportunity for the students to visit the 1992 Olympic Games facilities, as well as the Olympic museum and stadium of the city. They were able to walk in the footsteps of Pierre de Coubertin, who, in 1926 said, whilst roaming the athletic facilities of the city “before visiting Barcelona I thought I knew what a city of sport was”.

Thanks to numerous interactive areas of the museum, the students learned more about the torches, trophies, celebrities and even the Olympic symbols. For example, they found out more about Joan Antoni Samaranch, who led the Olympic Games in Barcelona, through an area dedicated especially to him.

Most importantly though, our students enjoyed themselves since they were able to get a taste of the dynamic nature of sports with interactive games, small challenges and several test matches offered by the museum.
