"The trip to Greece was a great experience ! I am happy to say that I will always have very nice memories from this amazing vacation. The trip was an interesting and balanced mix between cultural learning and relaxation. The first part of the trip, we had the opportunity to visit some of the spots that saw the birth of modern society, such as: the Parthenon where one of the first democratic act took place, the city of Delphi where people from all over ancient Europe used to go to give thanks and ask their gods for help, the Panathenaic stadium where some of the first Olympic Games took place, the island of Delos, an amazing place that was ruled in an incredibly civilized way, just as a modern city nowadays, with services, markets, companies and temples.
After one week of excursion, even though all those activities were very delightful and they enriched our knowledge of history and Greek mythology, everyone in the group was hoping for some downtime, to chill for a little while before coming back to school. And we were really lucky, because Santorini and Mykonos delivered more than what we could have asked for, it was simply amazing. The beaches, the sun, the weather... It was just the perfect place to forget about everything and just take a break and have fun. And we really enjoyed it! After exploring Santorini and watching the most magnificent sunset I have seen in my life, we took a ferry and made our way to Mykonos. Before the trip I had heard a lot about this iconic place, but I never imagined the vibe that I felt when we got off the ferry; there is something in the air that makes you feel calm and full of life. We had plenty of time to discover its beautiful alleys, had fun taking cooking lessons of typical (local) recipes and learning local dances, doing some “extreme” water sports like tubing, jet skiing and some of us even enjoyed relaxing massages while sunbathing.
This break was unforgettable, we had a lot of fun and we learned a lot thanks to our guides, Jacques and Mari-Ann, and our caretakers, Mrs Chestier and Mr Muzenga."
