Students of years 11 to 14 are invited to take part in a new extracurricular activity: Model United Nations (MUN) debates.
It is a simulation of the United Nations functioning in which students can learn about diplomacy and international relations. Students will develop their ability to express themselves, present in public, debate and write arguments. They will learn critical thinking, teamwork and leadership abilities. Each student will be named “delegate” and assigned to a “committee” and will represent a country. Delegates will conduct research about the country they represent, including sustainable development, and will then debate with their fellow delegates.
