To celebrate the 115th anniversary of Collège Champittet, 12 of our students took the challenge of reaching the summit of Kilimanjaro.
Not only did they cross the highest peak of the African continent, but the final departure was done at night in order to enjoy the magic of the sunrise. All in all, they walked 60km in 7 days, with 4695m ascent.
During this trek, students saw wonderful things like monkeys and rare birds, but they also had to overcome several obstacles in the form of painful blisters, coughs, fatigue and other ailments.
Our students returned Friday morning, and we welcomed them into champions with a panel made by the other students of the school. We are all extremely proud of the entire team that arrived at the summit almost complete!
