After having worked several weeks on their project, the students were able to present the result of their research and experiments on March 28th.
As part of the partnership with the MIT (Massachussetts Institute of Technology), 10 groups of 10th grade and a group of 11th grade students participated in the MIT Challenges on the theme of transport and fuel of tomorrow.
Several project ideas were proposed to the groups thus giving a track to follow. The students made different assumptions and provided answers through their work: some focused their project on finding information, others investigated the public's awareness of biofuels and others put into practice assumptions to compare a traditional fuel with biofuel.
All the groups were gathered in the gym of the College to present their project, their research, analyzes and results to a jury composed of various personalities: teachers, environmental specialists etc. It is the group Green Tech Inc. who won the Jury Prize, however the competition is not over yet because the votes of other students and different people present at the presentation will count in the calculation of votes.
It is a fun experience that fully integrates with the values of the College: to make students aware of the world in which they live and the weight of their action to create a more sustainable world.
