During the summer holidays, we worked very hard to do important renovations at the school.
In the Saint Bernard building, the fourth floor has been given a fresh new look to give the corridors some light and is now equipped with new tables and chairs. A new STEAM room (science, technology, engineering, art, maths) has been set up with super new equipment that includes a 3D printer, iMac and configurable furniture. The gym has also been completely refurbished and furnished to better accommodate events held at the school and a new floor on the junior playground has been installed. Finally, a new dance hall and extracurricular activities room has been set up in the St Augustin building next to the dining rooms.
Less visible but important to mention anyway, major water separation works that will take place in Champittet and the surrounding area for about 2 years began during the summer holidays. This is a big project to relieve sewage treatment plants by separating sewage from rainwater, which can go directly into the lake. We are off to a good start with the year’s theme of sustainable development!
